Top posts from 2009

In no particular order, the top soloLOL contributions from 2009:

$5,000 shocks. A shout out to Heyward Wagner for this one. I saw the picture and knew it needed something, and Heyward hit it on the head.

Spring has been sprung. Alex Shqrstuvwxyz's E30 BMW.

Easter cone hunt. Contribution from Karen.

Stop domestic violence. I've gotten beaten by Lynne R-K all but one time in my autocross career.* The only win came on the practice course at the 2005 Solo Nationals, so, jeez, it doesn't even freakin' count.

How far did I go. An O'Gorman fail, like that's newsworthy.

Formula 1 timing equipment. The F1 weekend where timing went out the last few minutes of qualifying, reminded me of Pro Solo!

It's sabotage! SoloAtlanta's (and ST National Champ) Bill Bounds. Contribution from Karen, music by the Bee STEE Boys.

Read the supps! Inspired by banter on the WDCR mailing list about the bicycling Street Mod Volvos.

Un pimp your ride. You know, this site is designed to poke fun at people who choose to drive at the limit on a closed course and, maybe, sometimes, have a little mishap. This woman chose to exploit her driving talents in rush hour traffic on I-95 in the Washington D.C. area on a completely dry road in sunlight. Words can't describe ... actually words are endless describing this example of craptastic driving. Special contribution from former D.C. Pro Solo Super Challenge winner Scott Hoffman.

The godfather. One of the first soloLOLs. "And then there is where I shift to 2nd."

Happy Sprite. This is probably an example of anyone who drives that car for the first time. "Oh crap" to "Holy crap was that awesome!"

Humpty Dumpty. The Wagner-O'Malley ST Civic (AKA "H Dumpty") lost a rear hub during Dave's first run on the first day at the Solo Nationals, but neither of them recorded a DNS. Awesome.

Super 7. One of Danny's contributions.

* Update: Finally beat Lynne AND Paul at the 2010 DC Pro Solo. Only took 10 years. I'd like to thank my mother and father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
